COVID 19 Disinfection and management of PPE

The following information is in addition to and expected to be worked alongside the specific risk assessment and operating procedures for each activity we run. Disinfection Procedure
Either of the below methods may be used for PPE and clothing.
- Isolate equipment in an open-air environment for a minimum period of 72 hours. The virus will die off and the gear can then be cleaned and dried or reused with normal Cv-19 personal hygiene measures in place.
- Disinfect equipment using the manufacturers’ recommended method.

72 hour quarantine. As a backup, wash with pure soap around 30-60◦c but they don’t guarantee effectiveness.

Time – Leave in quarantine for at least 72hrs; and/or Wash – In 30 degree C clean domestic grade water with liquid soap in the pH range 5.5 to 8.5 for 15
Singing Rock:

Beal:

72h quarantine, or sink the product into Isopropyl (or Isopropanol) alcohol for a duration of 30 to 60 seconds. Let the products dry by suspending in a well-ventilated room (due to alcohol vapours), in fresh air at ambient temperature, away from direct sunlight. Leave to dry for 24 hours. Do this no more than 10 times per item!
Teufelberger:
Ropes can be disinfected by being submerged in a solution of 70% Isopropanol and 30% Distilled Water for 3 minutes maximum.

70-100% isopropanol to disinfect our PPE products as the performance will not be altered by it. Soak 24h and dry 24h.
