Northern Pennine Mine trips, New dates added

After the success of last Sunday in the Peak District, despite the rain, we have decided to run a further weekend of Trips, this time in the Northern Pennines. We’ll base ourselves in the village of Nent Head and hope to look at some of the mines in the area, but specifically a good 3 to 4hr trip in Smallclough will be top of the agenda. With a chance to explore and learn about the miners of old who struggled to win the hard gotten Lead ore from the Moors above Alston.

The fee for the day will be £50-00, this will include all clothing and technical equipment required for a comfortasble trip underground, photographs will be taken on the day and snacks/home baked cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available.

Please ring us on 07849 398 288 to book in advance, numbers are limited to 6 persons on each event.
