Group Day Assessments

Level One Assessments

Module 2 Group Leadership

Assessments may be undertaken on a 1:1 basis only

Pre requisites: Candidates should have undertaken around 30 underground trips of which there should be an approximate ratio of 1:3 Group trips with some leading: personal trips.

Once accepted on an assessment a home paper will be sent out which must be completed and returned prior too the assessment day. The assessment criteria is available here:

Candidates should expect to be debriefed and their performance reviewed at the end of the day so it is often worth while being independent of the group.

Level Two Assessments

Module 4 Group Leadership

Assessments may be undertaken on a 1:1 basis only

Pre requisites: Candidates should have undertaken around 30 underground trips including trips involving vertical pitches. It would be expected that there would be an approximate ratio of 1:3 Group trips with some leading: personal trips.

With a novice group, the candidates are assessed on judgement of the group’s abilities and suitability of the venue. Pre trip preparation and organisation.

Once accepted on an assessment a home paper will be sent out which must be completed and returned prior to the assessment day. The assessment criteria is available here:
