Family Fun Underground Testimonial
“An amazing trip! It was voted the best Christmas present ever, by my three teenage daughters (aged 13, 16 and 19.) We ached all week after – whether because of the physical exertion or the laughing, I’m not sure.
Iain was a wonderful guide, very friendly and knowledgeable and, most importantly, excellent at explaining exactly what we should do, so that we felt totally safe in his hands. Bagshaw mine was a fascinating insight into the life of miners and a chance for us to see and learn about geology , we then went on to explore Giant’s Hole , which was beautiful and fun. Both experiences were very exciting and at times challenging. (I did wonder if I’d make it out of that squeeze) but we never really felt uncomfortable, because Iain inspired us with complete confidence.
Caving for Stags & Hens but sorry no weddings

Well not a problem, we regularly deliver stag and hen parties through out the year, and they can be as adventurous or tame as you like. But most of all, just good old fashioned fun…..

Local Cave and Mine Leader Award Training and Assessment
As the outdoor sector gears up for a busy year, there is often little time once the season begins in earnest to attend training or complete assessments. During February and March GoCave will be making available several training courses and a range of dates for Core Skills assessments and group days, and if you can’t find a group, well why not utilise one of our Introductory parties.

So you’ve just seen some caving on the telly and you’d love to give it a go, well you’ve come to right people.
What you’ve just seen on ITV gives a fantatsic insight into the world beneath your feet and we’re ideally placed to provide that introductory experience in the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales or Northern Pennines.

Cave of Forgotten Dreams out on DVD
After being launched in 3D in the cinemas earlier this year we’ve just heard that Cave of Hidden Dreams by Werner Herzog, is soon to be released on DVD. The docu fim portraits the discoveries made inside the Chavet caves of Southern France, which have some of the oldest and best preserved cave paintings in the world.

DVD –Local Cave and Mine Leader training
During this coming Autumn we are looking to run a series of courses on alternate weekends, starting with Local Cave Leader training in the Yorkshire Dales on the 24th/25th September, this will then be followed by a Mine Leader training based in the Northern pennines followed by a Cave and Mine Leader training weekend in the Derbyshire Dales.
For more information and prices, or to book a place please get in touch, numbers will be limited to 6 persons per course and you must be registered with the Local Cave and Mine Leader Scheme and meet the pre requisits prior to attending.
Outdoor provision extended
During the forth coming year we intend to extend our provision beyond that of caving, potholing and mining exploration.

Well, after all the time off and celebrations we’re back in the office and ready to go, for another year of caving and mining.
Watch this space as we advertise Local Cave and Mine Leader Training and Assessment dates. New for this year we’ll be heading out all over the mining and caving regions of the UK offering introductory days, on Bank Holidays so email us to see if we’ll be in a region near you.

1:1 Local Cave and Mine Leader Training, now available
Some times it can be really hard to get a group of instructors together at the same time for a training course to run. Well at GoCave we’ve decided to change the status quo. We will now be offering Level 1 Cave or Mine Leader training course to individuals and parties from 1 to 6 in number.
Northern Pennine Mine trips, New dates added
We are looking to run two days of trips in November on the 11th and 12th, booking will be essential and all clothing and equipment will be supplied.
